Client:
New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill is a historic horticultural institution offering year-round gardens, programs, and events. With their new name, they sought a refreshed identity that reflects both their heritage and their role as a modern regional destination.
Challenge:
They needed a brand that balanced horticultural expertise with warmth and accessibility while appealing to a broader New England audience. The new identity also had to honor Tower Hill’s long history while showcasing the Garden as a must-visit experience for all ages.

Our Role:
awen&co developed a complete visual identity system including logos, colors, typography, and custom illustrations. Our team ensured the brand aligned with the Garden’s mission, values, and expanding audience.
Approach:
We grounded the brand in Tower Hill’s horticultural legacy while designing for inclusivity, clarity, and modern appeal. Every decision focused on helping the Garden better connect with both loyal visitors and new regional audiences.
Creative Direction:
The design blends vibrant botanical illustrations with clean, approachable typography and a warm colorful palette. This balance creates a visual identity that feels expert yet inviting, full of joy and discovery.
outcome:
The final brand elevates NEBG as a leading regional destination and communicates the depth of experiences they offer. With a modern, flexible identity, the garden is now better positioned to reach diverse communities and inspire visitors of all ages.

"They went above and beyond in designing our brand identity"
The entire design team at Awen & Co were fantastic to work with. They took time to learn about us and our company and did a lot of research behind the scenes to understand our industry and particular needs. They went above and beyond in designing our brand identity including our logo, brandmark, supporting graphics and an awesome pattern. They even came out to our space to paint a mural for us. Even more than that, we feel like we have gained some new friends! Highly recommend!
